We’re celebrating the release of LCAlink 4.0 and two years since its first launch with a special Residential LCA package.

This is a very limited offer, created to make the LCA process accessible for smaller projects while giving you a guided experience of how an assessment works from start to finish. You’ll not only see your project assessed, but also learn from the process, gain full access to results and data, and leverage Capana Group’s exclusive client resources.

At $1,500 NZD (incl. GST), this package, which includes a workshop, is offered at roughly half the normal cost. It provides benchmarking, scope emissions, clear hotspot analysis, and easy-to-understand graphics, making it a practical and valuable resource for both learning and decision-making. On top of that, you’ll receive access to Capana Group’s client portal, and direct support from our team.

Only eligible for residential projects under 100 m² GFA, modelled in Revit (minimum LOD 300).

Although we work with other software, this special package applies only to Revit because of its direct link with LCAlink.

Not eligible?

Reach out and let’s explore how we can assess the carbon impacts of your project.

What the Process Will Look Like

  1. Kick-off Workshop

A 30-minute guided workshop to introduce the LCA process, set expectations, and confirm required project data.

  2. Draft Assessment Results

You will receive the full draft results to review before the report is finalised. This stage provides an opportunity for comments and clarifications that can improve the accuracy of the assessment.

  3. Final Assessment

Following feedback, we finalise the results and provide the agreed deliverables in report form.

What Will Be Provided

  1. Executive Summary

ree

A short 2-page document that summarises the assessment results in a format that is both professional and easy to communicate. It frames complex life cycle data into clear insights, supported by accessible graphics and benchmarking. The Executive Summary is designed to give design teams and clients a solid understanding of project performance, highlighting hotspots, scope emissions, and comparisons with benchmarks. It is not only a summary of results, but also a practical tool for design decision-making and client communication, helping to translate technical outputs into meaningful guidance.

This includes:

  • Overview of results

  • Key findings

  • Hotspot analysis

  • Benchmarking

  • Comparison with the BRANZ LCAQuick reference building

  1. Snapshot Report

ree

The Snapshot Report is a streamlined version of a full certification report, designed to provide the complete results in a clear, accessible format. It brings together graphs, tables, and data breakdowns that show how your project performs across lifecycle stages and materials, while leaving out the comprehensive detail required for in-depth analysis or certification submissions.

The focus of this report is on transparency and learning. You’ll be able to see the data that drives the results and explore performance patterns without the weight of a full compliance report. For projects that require a comprehensive, certification-ready report, this can be provided as an upgrade at additional cost.

The snapshot includes:

  • Tables and graphs of all results (seven environmental impact categories)

  • Data breakdowns (lifecycle stages, top materials, hotspot analysis)

  • Full list of materials included in the assessment

  • Scope of study

  • System boundaries

  • Comparison with the LCAQuick reference building

Data Handover

  • Processed LCAQuick export file

  • Processed Revit model used in the assessment

  • All raw datasets

Optional Upgrade

A comprehensive LCA report (with full references, methodology, and outputs), including certification-ready formatting if required, can be provided for an additional $575.00 (incl. GST).

  1. Exclusive Client Portal Access

ree

As part of this launch package, you’ll also gain exclusive access to the Capana Group's Client Portal.

This new feature has been created to empower project teams by providing practical tools to guide decisions at every stage, from early design through to construction. The portal gives access to the same resources Capana Group uses internally, enabling material comparisons from an extensive database and scenario option testing. It also provides material benchmarking through reviews of emission factors for concrete, insulation, and steel, helping to set reliable project specifications.

With access to these resources, you’ll also have a direct communication line to Capana Group’s expertise. Through a live chat, you can raise urgent queries, ask questions with confidence, discuss outcomes, or review new EPD data for comparisons.

The exclusive access to the Capana Client Portal includes:

  • Material Comparison Tool

The Material Comparison Tool is designed to make embodied carbon data easy to understand and apply in real time. It allows users to quickly compare materials side by side, providing an immediate sense of which options carry the lowest carbon impacts. Built on a user-friendly interface, the tool draws from an extensive material database and presents results visually through graphs and tables.

You can search for materials, select them, and view comparisons across multiple criteria. While it is primarily set up for global warming potential (GWP), it also covers other environmental impact categories, breaking results down into each life cycle stage. These can be filtered to highlight specific impact categories or stages, depending on what the design team needs to focus on.

Whether comparing 2 materials or 50, the tool is flexible enough to support both quick checks and deeper investigations. This enables fast, evidence-based design decisions and ensures project teams have clear visibility on how their material choices influence carbon performance.

  • Dynamic Graph Dashboard

The Dynamic Graph Dashboard provides interactive dashboards and ready-to-use visuals that make complex results easy to explore, present, and share. This dashboard allows project teams to compare different material EPDs, assess project datasets, and create scenarios that support decision-making.

The interface is built to handle dynamic data, meaning you can run multiple comparisons simultaneously, such as reviewing ten different cladding products or developing five different design scenarios. Each output can be saved and revisited later, so decisions remain traceable throughout the project process.

For example, you might use the dashboard to compare carbon impacts of different façade systems, store the results, and return to them once a shortlist of materials has been selected. The graphical and tabular representations give project teams new ways to view and interpret data, often revealing insights that are not obvious from raw numbers alone.

  • Direct Support

The portal also provides direct access to Capana Group’s expertise through a live chat function. This creates an immediate communication line to our team, integrated with our internal systems, so queries are reviewed and responded to as quickly as possible.

Support covers interpreting results, navigating tools, or seeking guidance on specific design or data challenges. For project teams, this means you don’t need to second-guess or wait until a formal meeting to get clarity, you can raise urgent questions in the moment and receive informed guidance.

This feature not only helps resolve technical issues faster but also builds confidence for users who may be unsure of what the data is telling them or how far they can take an analysis. Having a direct line to expertise ensures that decisions are made with understanding, and that no opportunity to reduce carbon impacts is missed.

  • In-house Resources

Over the years, Capana Group has developed and curated a wide range of resources to support better carbon analysis and design decision-making. Through the portal, project teams gain access to this knowledge base, which includes:

    • Benchmarking tables for steel, concrete, and insulation to guide specification targets

    • Databases for comparing insulation options and other commonly specified materials

    • Export guidelines and best practices for preparing datasets from BIM and LCA tools

These resources are designed to make workflows smoother, reduce the risk of errors, and support teams in building their own understanding of embodied carbon. They reflect not just technical knowledge, but the practical methods Capana Group uses internally to deliver consistent, high-quality assessments.

Access the Client Portal is linked to the project and provided for the duration of the engagement.

Exclusions & Limits

Because this is a heavily discounted offer, there are strict boundaries to keep the scope clear:

  • One consultation (30 min) included.

  • One round of comments/feedback on the draft results. After feedback is incorporated, the report will be finalised.

  • Ongoing communication is limited to direct support via the Client Portal. Extended workshops, additional revisions, or further consulting can be arranged separately at standard rates.

  • Deliverables are simplified for insight and learning. They are not certification-ready unless upgraded.

  • Limited to New Zealand.

Next Steps

Spots are strictly limited and this offer will close once all places are filled.
